Will Men, meals & Me ever be produced?
Men, meals & Me will have its first - possibly only - public airing in a rehearsed reading on 28 September 2025 at the Stephen Joseph Theatre. It is unknown whether it will ever be released for production.

Is Men, Meals & Me part of the play canon?
No. Men, Meals & Me is classified as one of Alan's 'grey' plays, but is not considered one of his official full-length works. A 'grey' play is a work which has been produced in some form (i.e. a rehearsed reading) but has not ben published and is not available for production.

Will Men, Meals & Me be released for future performance.
At this time, it is unknown whether Men, Meal & Me will ever receive a full production. Certainly, it will not be released for performance until Alan Ayckbourn has directed a full production as is common with all his works.

Will Men, Meals & Me be published?
Currently, no. Until the play is professionally produced as a full-cast production, Men, Meals & Me will not be published.

Can I read Men, Meals & Me?
Men, Meals & Me will eventually be made part of the Ayckbourn Archive in the Borthwick Institute for Archives at the University of York. At this point, it will be available to read in situ for visitors to the Borthwick Institute.
